Education in Sport / Sportsreporter.co.uk came about as a result of previous ofsted reports, it has come to light that children and young adults are struggling with literacy, with boys especially lagging behind in writing, numeracy and ICT. The company"s objectives include encouraging them to improve all of these vital areas of education via monthly competitions on our website. These competitions are supported by a wide range of professional sporting bodies who have all pledged some fantastic prizes for our competition winners.
Education in Sport will provide a constant support network of help to all children through our promotion and involvement with Healthy Schools, Community Safety, Social Inclusion, Anti Racism and Anti Bullying. In particular utilising our own unique Anti Bullying Report Button, which we believe to be the most effective and responsive in the country. The feedback from head teachers so far has been "Quite Remarkable".
We believe that due to our partnerships with the Department of Health and the British Olympic Association, that sportsreporter.co.uk will become a national service that is used in every school and local community the length and breadth of the country.
As a community interest company we will be enrolling all schools for an annual fee, and after deductions we will use all profits to further develop our services and add a greater impact to schools and local communities. We will run local events in each community to try and improve community relations and create a harmony where by children of all ages and walks of life can come together through sport.
Education in Sport will provide benefit to all children and young adults from all sections of all communities by way of a rewards system for competition winners. These will help to develop literacy, numeracy, ICT and all other subjects, and also help with vital social skills.
Education in Sport is accessible to all children regardless of race, religion, ability or disability.
