Job Description

The Company

A global organisation operating in many related power generation industries providing maintenance and repair services. Very well established and highly reputable, this organisation has a wide range of clients within their portfolio and provides high levels of customer service and technical support.

The Role

The Field Service Engineer will fault find, maintain and rectify failures in rotating equipment. Install and commission rotating equipment at site based location. Alongside Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Responsibilities, your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;
•Install, maintain and repair rotating equipment and ancillary equipment at client’s offshore and onshore site
•Dismantle from site, strip and inspect rotating equipment and report any specific fault on the report form
•Compile inspection/assessment reports and communicate with line manager on a regular basis, as appropriate
•Re-assemble and commission rotating equipment
•Liaise with clients representatives

As part of your role you will ensure that all reports and records are updated, all maintenance and repair work is economically completed to client and certifying authority standards. You will also ensure all work undertaken is done in the most cost-effective manner.

You will also be expected to support the company in its drive to create a better, more productive and safer working environment which means embracing the Lean operating principles.

The Person

Ideally the successful candidate will have an NC/City & Guilds Mechanical Qualification or a VQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification. It is essential that you have relevant equipment experience such as pumps and compressors. You must have offshore oil industry experience and hold current certifications to work offshore.
