Job Description

Our East Midlands based client is one of the world's fastest growing, most forward thinking security and facilities management led businesses. They are currently looking to appoint an IT Manager IMMEDIATELY based in Nottingham. The roles duties and candidate requirements are below.

To serve as the main point of contact for all IT related issues across the group of companies responding in a professional and timely fashion to all requests for support.
To respond proactively to issues arising across the company’s networks to ensure maximum uptime of servers and networks.
To maintain and support the company’s computer systems, both desktop and servers, installing the latest security patches as necessary to ensure all systems are stable and secure.
To keep the networks secure, monitoring all security software and applying updates as and when necessary.
Maintain and ensure uptime of the company’s Email and Blackberry servers.
Management and development of the company’s Websites.
To maintain and monitor the company’s telephony systems ensuring communication systems are always available and trouble free.
To oversee and monitor all system backup and archiving solutions to ensure data is effectively secured.
To constantly evaluate and update the company’s disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Maintain the company’s IT Helpdesk and asset management systems to keep users informed on the status of IT support requests and the locations of the company’s IT assets.
Build and maintain relationships with hardware and software vendors and manage the purchase or hardware and software products.
To develop and implement improvements to the IT infrastructure.
