Our Pontypridd based client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Laboratory Technician for a 6 - 9 month period.
The suitable candidate will have laboratory experience and preferably hold chemistry qualifications.
Job description
The analysis of daily production batches and customer blends in conjunction with other members of the technical staff.
When necessary to take and analyse samples after each step in the manufacturing process. This may involve some work outside normal hours
Some project work may be undertaken to provide information leading to the development of new types of gelatin or the improvement of current grades.
On request typed reports of the project will be submitted to the Quality Manager. It will be necessary, therefore, to keep clear and concise records of your work.
To analyse plant processing chemicals and to maintain analytical equipment to use in the laboratory and on plant.
Updating records of daily production.
The preparation of pre-shipment samples for customer approval.
To keep your place of work clean and clear from clutter at all times.
Any other duties as directed by your manager. You must also be prepared to provide assistance in other departments when required.
