Job Description

One of our heavy engineering clients is looking to recruit a maintenance electrician for their site based in Shropshire. The client is a market leader in specialist in hot and cold rolling metals in to a range of industries.

The role will be responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance of this fast paced plant including works on AC/DC motors and PLC’s. You will follow the lead of the leading technician on the site however this will primarily be based on your own knowledge.

The ideal candidate will be a time served electrically bias maintenance engineer with a working knowledge of the I.E.E and electrical supply regulations. It is essential that candidates are trained to 17th edition wiring regulations and have experience of dealing with a range of electrical issues within a heavy engineering environment. It is desirable that you also have experience of dealing with mechanical faults specifically with hydraulics and pneumatics.
