Job Description

Overall Purpose

Maintaining and sustaining the plant, within the manufacturing area, to achieve departmental and Works objectives.
Focussed on front line maintenance diagnosis to ensure correct equipment operation for production requirements.
Comply with all health, safety and environmental standards.

Key Activities
Planned Maintenance

Carry out Planned routine maintenance and fault finding

Cross Discipline Maintenance
Carry out repairs and adjustments requiring ‘cross discipline’ skills to the level authorised to include machining, welding, use of lifting equipment, etc.

Continuous Improvement
Carry out repairs and recommend modifications to improve performance

Reactive Maintenance
Provide ‘core skills’ maintenance for all plant and equipment.
Control Sysytem & Instrumentation Support (Electrician only)
Provide control system and instrumentation support for all plant equipment.

Teamworking
Being a conscientious and self-motivated team player.
Developing effective working relationships with team leaders and colleagues.
Attending work on time and maintaining good attendance record.

Creativity and Innovation
Displaying creativity and innovative ideas in all areas to drive performance.
Contribute ideas readily and constructively in team meetings.

Self Development
Taking personal responsibility for self development and training.

Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality
Ensure all safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained. Management systems are utilised and appropriate instruction is complied with.

4 nights, 4 off, 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 4 days, 16 days off, then repeating. All shifts are 12 hours long and this equates to just less than 1800 hours per year on average.

Pay is currently £32,490 (including shift allowance of £7,014) with a pay award pending
