Location: Kitling Road, Prescott, Knowsley

Pay Rate: GBP12.38

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 06:00 - 18:00, 18:00 - 06:00 - 42 hours per week (4 on 4 off shift pattern Days/Nights)

Role Overview

In this role you will form part of a motivated and pro-active team of security guards delivering security and fire protection services. The role will allow you to play an active part in meeting the requirements of Aktrion / Atalian Servest whilst meeting the needs of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver site security services in line with the client`s requirements, developing the service so that it remains efficient and effective at all times.
- Play a role in ensuring that all fire suppression systems are in place are effective through testing and inspections.
- Play a part in ensuring that all client policies and procedures, ensuring that the site meets quality, Health and Safety and environmental requirements.
- Report and manage any breach of policy, procedures, security, fire or any incident that could put Newsprinters at risk.
- Working as a team and on your own you will be required to safe guard the site, its premises and equipment at all times.
- Identify and report any misuse or damage to the client or company property and equipment
- Ensure that you are proactive and diligent whilst carrying out daily duties, identifying areas where improvements can be made and ensuring that details captured are correct and to the point.
- To represent yourself as a security guard responsible for the security of the site in a professional manner at all times, a smart appearance wearing authorised uniform is required at all times.
- To establish and maintain a positive working relationship with your team and the client, ensuring that you are recognised as a respected member of the security team.
- During your patrols act or report any issues that you might identify that could cause reason for the client to be concerned.
- Report any breach or unsafe practice in the workplace to your line manager in accordance with H&S policies and procedures and with support from the H&S manager
- As part of a team you will be required to man a number of areas throughout the site which includes reception, the gatehouse and other areas based upon need. When in reception you will be required to carry out other administration services such as:- Cover for the help desk service
- Issuing passes, booking visitors in, carrying out site inductions
- Provide mail / courier, collection, sorting and in-house delivery
- Ensure any outstanding issues at the end of each shift are left safe where possible or isolated / contained if unsafe. That your Line manager and supervisor informed of status. Ensure your incoming shift is left a comprehensive handover document
- Act as reception manning the phone filtering and transferring calls
- Managing site key access ensuring all keys are signed in and out and accounted for
