Role
Reporting to the IT Manager within the IT Department, the purpose of the role is to support current, and to develop new VB6 and .Net based systems. The role will also involve supporting less experienced members of the team through the sharing of technical expertise.

You will need to work closely with other members of the department and users within the business to perform detailed analysis and design. Strong Technical skills are required to ensure that efficient solutions are delivered in a timely manner and meeting defined Customer requirements.


Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Analysis of Customer requirements.
* Produce detailed system (solution) design specification to departmental standards.
* Develop / Maintain applications that meet Customer expectations and to agreed budgets and time scales.
* Ensure the quality of all work produced via thorough unit and system testing and supporting the business in the area of Customer acceptance testing.
* Ensure all application enhancements are fully documented.
* Follow information security procedures for change control prior to implementing any changes.
* Assist in resolving any application problems, ensuring that repeat occurrences do not happen.
