The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Fitter / Machinist who will be based at our clients Southampton site to carry out the fitting of electric motors and generators of all sizes and voltages.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

• Dismantling, reporting, fault finding, reassembling and testing of electric motors and generators of all sizes and voltages
• Machining using centre lathes, working to drawings, producing drawings of components
• Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear

The Person

The successful candidate will have previous experience of fitting, dismantling, rewinding, assembling and testing of electro-mechanical equipment. You will also have previous machining experience and be able read and produce drawings.

To be considered for this position you must have a Formal apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
