We are looking for an innovative, customer focused and commercially astute Technical Sales Engineer to help our client achieve ambitious plans for growth. You will seek out and develop long-lasting relationships with multinational blue chip customers who require bespoke special purpose machinery to provide the best possible automated production solutions. The Company: Situated in Yorkshire, our client is a market leading designer and manufacturer of automated production machinery and bespoke capital equipment. Operating across a range of production and process industry sectors including Food, Packaging, Automotive, Medical, Warehousing, Logistics and Pharmaceuticals, the company has an excellent reputation for its ability to deliver innovative solutions and bespoke production machinery of the highest quality. The Role: An opportunity has arisen for a talented Technical Sales Engineer. You will apply your in-depth understanding of engineering to help conceptualise, propose and deliver bespoke automation machinery solutions. Key responsibilities include: • Develop and manage the sales process from beginning to end. • Effectively communicating and liaising with blue-chip customers in a wide range of industries. • Develop long-term relationships through an in-depth understanding of customer requirements. • Creatively assist in the conceptualization of value added and practical automated machinery solutions. • Manage the preparation of successful high-value proposals and estimates for complete automated machines and their commissioning. Candidate Requirements: With relevant engineering qualifications and a sound background in providing bespoke manufacturing solutions, you will demonstrate the ability to seek out and win profitable business with blue chip customers in a wide range of industries. You will propose and deliver bespoke automated production solutions. Your profile will also display the following attributes: • A good understanding of special purpose machinery, engineering principles and manufacturing / machining processes. • Relevant engineering qualifications (ideally graduate level but apprenticeship or HNC minimum requirement). • Strong communication skills at all levels up to director level. • The ability to identify and maximising sales and business development opportunities. • Knowledge of automation principles developed from previous technical sales, design, production or customer-facing project roles. • A track record of market development and growing business. • Strong presentation and networking skills. • Ability to manage differing / conflicting priorities.
