Claydon manufacture heavy agricultural equipment specialising in the Claydon Direct Seed Drill (patented product) and the Claydon Straw Harrow. We are a medium size family owned business set on a farm in Suffolk. We are expanding at quite a rate and are keen to find the right members to add to the team.

Job Description

Claydon Yieldometer Ltd also known as Claydon Drills is a family owned company that has expanded at a phenomenal rate. Their exports markets are currently their primary markets, mainly into the EU, they are building relationships into the Americas and Australasia as well.
Claydon has a relatively small team (around 50) who research, design, develop, manufacture and sell agricultural products directly to the end user or through distribution networks. Claydon keep all their support in house as they believe it to be key to develop market leading machinery. The Claydon family are a farming family ideally placing them to move this company forward.


Assembly Technicians
Claydon are at the forefront of agricultural equipment manufacture and sales. They produce innovative, progressive and high quality equipment for the farming community. Assembly workers within the company have a key role in helping to ensure that both quality and quantity production targets are met.

The successful applicants primary role will be to assemble the current product range to a high standard, and will also be required to go off site to service or repair machines throughout their working seasons (currently August to October and February to May) as required.

Skills and personal qualities required include:
• A high degree of motivation, organisation and enthusiasm
• An aptitude for work with mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a small team
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• A telescopic forklift licence would be an advantage (but is not essential)

The competitive salary dependant on experience and qualification, 40 hours week contract. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
