Job Description

TopHat is a brand new manufacturing Company based in Derby who manufacture timber framed houses within a factory environment and we are looking to add an Estimator to our team on a 3 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the design manager, the main purpose of this role is:
1. To prepare Bills of Materials for production and purchasing
2. To contribute towards the automation of the production of Bills of Materials

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
1. Creation of part numbers
2. Cross reference TopHat Part Nos with Supplier Part Nos
3. Creation and delivery of structured BOMs for use in the ERP system by purchasing and manufacturing
4. Creation of simple intermediate methods for the automation of BOMs; eg spreadsheet calculations that could be used by others
5. Working with the ERP and CAD software providers to develop automated systems to provide BOMs

Please note - pricing is not part of this scope of works.

A good understanding of house building is desirable, as is knowledge of Revit/hsbCAD.

This is a fixed term contract of 3 months, salary to be discussed at interview.
