Job Description

A renowned fashion online retailer are looking to recruit a business Analyst. The ideal candidate will not need lots of experience but the BA will have worked most probably as an analyst programmer.

The role requires a person who can get to the heart of an issue or requirement and see creative ways of addressing it. The Business Analyst ideas will be grounded in the reality of our context and business. That person will be a good problem solver and capable of bring others along with their ideas. They will be a strong team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES AS A BUSINESS ANALYST

·Work with representatives from different areas of the business to clearly understand and document our current business processes, and systems support of those processes.

·Identify improvements to existing business processes or solutions to specific business requirements.

·Elicit and analyse the detailed business requirements, business rules, and constraints in order to identify the detailed requirements of the solution.

·Work with the development team and user representatives in designing the solution.

·When appropriate, manage the sourcing and selection of package based solutions.

·Work to ensure that the right level of modelling, collaboration, and documentation is achieved throughout the project.

·Assist the business in implementation activity, including developing suitable test cases, supporting user acceptance testing and user training.

·The Business Analyst will work with the Project Manager to ensure realistic project plans are produced and maintained (or act as the Project Manager on smaller pieces of work). This will include reporting to the sponsor and/or IT Management team on the progress of a project.

Excellent inter-personal skills; can demonstrate ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with different audiences.

Excellent analytical skills combined with a high degree of common sense.

Strong communication. Ability to articulate ideas, problems, and solutions in a way other people understand.

Excellent written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy balanced with the ability to abstract and view the broader picture.

Understanding of data modelling, entity-relationship concepts and relational databases.

Ability to cope under pressure and ensure deadlines are met.

Strong drive to deliver with a proven ability to work in a group.

Strong organisational skills.

Good attitude, flexible and adaptable nature

Proficient in MS Office packages & MS SQL.

You 'll have a good track record of business/systems analysis in a retail environment but not essential.
