Job Description

Are you an experienced and dedicated Clinical Perfusionist looking to contribute to high-quality cardiovascular care? For a modern and ambitious hospital in the north of the Netherlands, we are currently seeking a new team member to join a specialised unit that performs approximately 550 adult heart surgeries annually. In addition, the department carries out numerous PCIs, EP studies, and other cardiological and vascular surgical procedures.

The Role:
As a Clinical Perfusionist, you will work within the Extra Corporeal Circulation (ECC) department, part of the Heart and Vascular Care Unit. Your primary responsibilities will be in the two cardiothoracic operating rooms, where you will manage extracorporeal circulation during adult cardiac surgeries. The ECC team also supports cardiac and/or pulmonary functions in the catheterisation labs and the Intensive Care Unit, involving the use of intra-aortic balloon pumps, auto-transfusion systems, and thromboelastography.

This is your profile:
You have a recognised degree in Clinical Perfusion (such as a Bachelor or Master's in Clinical Perfusion Science or an equivalent program)
Have an EU/EEA passport
Hold an EU/EEA Family Doctor diploma
Master English at a full professional proficiency level
Are eager to learn Dutch through an exclusive Language Academy
Are willing to relocate to the Netherlands

Reasons for choosing this job:
Permanent position: You will be offered a permanent contract directly with the hospital, starting from 24 hours per week. A 36-hour contract typically includes one fixed day off per week. The position is classified under FWG 65 of the Dutch Hospitals Collective Labor Agreement.
On-call duties: The role includes on-call shifts and irregular hours, with excellent compensation either financially or in extra time off, as per Dutch labor regulations.
Training & development: A personal budget is available for courses, conferences, and symposia. Membership fees for the American Society for Extracorporeal Technology (AmSect) are covered, granting you access to online learning. Your NeSECC membership can also be paid via a tax-advantaged scheme.
Attractive benefits: In addition to standard holidays, you’ll receive a personal leave budget (PLB). The hospital also offers travel reimbursement, 8.33% holiday allowance, and an 8.33% year-end bonus.
