Job Description

CMM Application Engineer
Shropshire
£25-30K + company car, bonus scheme

My client design and manufactures Coordinate Measuring Machines. They are specialists in their field offering machines, systems and software.

They also provide a wide range of aftermarket services including CMM and software installations, calibration and training, subcontract inspection, measurement and part programming services; recalibration, retrofits and upgrades; plus ongoing service and support contracts.

They are currently looking for an Application Engineer to provide a remote and on-site application support service to customers and other departments within the organisation.

Main duties would include;

- Part Programming of complex geometric parts both On and Offline.
- Training up to advanced CMM level ensuring the completion of all relevant training documentation
- Supporting by phone and onsite visits our UK & Ireland Customers.
- Supporting turnkey projects.
- Attending exhibitions and providing demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Visiting customers to support sales activity.

The successful applicant should have a strong background in Advanced Coordinate Metrology, having ideally worked in an inspection department and have used co-ordinate measuring machines to a high level.

A confident professional telephone manner is essential and experience of working in a customer-focused environment would be useful.
