Job Description


To ensure sales targets (personal & journal) are achieved every issue.

To develop and grow existing client base and spend

To canvass and grow new prospects and develop the client base

To ensure all new business is followed up and turned in to repeat business

To obtain regular testimonials from clients

To manage all business across their display section.

To ensure expected telephone call rates, (set by your manager) are achieved consistently

To liaise with your in-line manager &/or Advertisement Manager to ensure forward planning is accurate and relevant

To represent the magazine at all relevant exhibitions and events, in a smart, mature and productive manor, in both working and non-working hours where relevant

To make frequent client visits to new and existing clients

To attend all relevant networking opportunities that your manager requests, both during working hours and of an evening


To liaise with production teams to ensure the smooth running of the display section from sales through to print

To assist in running the flat-plan for the display section to ensure early eradication of errors and to maintain harmony with all advertisers


To ensure accurate and responsible admin for the bookings in to the display section (order books, signed orders, sales boards are up to date at all times)

To assist in the successful collection of advertiser debts (on-stops)


To support advertisement sales into any supplement or non-core initiatives for the magazine and company where necessary

To support other team members as and when required, and maintaining at all times a positive and enthusiastic attitude to the role, the company
