Job Description

Our Watford based client is a major retail organisation and household name; a highly successful and well regarded business. Having opened a number of additional stores in recent months, they seek to recruit additional help desk analysts whose experience MUST include warehouse / distribution experience. You will also have good basic IT support experience; network infrastructure knowledge would be very beneficial.

You will be part of a small team supporting warehouses and retail stores totalling almost 200 sites. The nature of this busy and interesting position requires you to be a self-motivated and confident team player, capable of coping on their own and using their initiative. After training you will work staggered days (no nights), with a basic salary of up to £26k, plus £10k pa inconvenience allowance.

Function 1 – support these applications

Warehouse / distribution / Transport planning /accounts / office systems
Design software
Ecommerce
In House databases
Function 2 - IT helpdesk support role

1st line IT support via helpdesk ideally with much of the following

Knowledge of WAN/LAN networking
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or similar
Anti-Virus software
Network configuration
Windows XP/7
MS Office products
Active Directory
PC/Server builds
User training
