Our client is a market leading manufacturer of bespoke fabric engineered products for industrial and commercial requirements. With a varied product history including Heavy Duty Industrial Curtains, Bespoke Fabric Covers, Framed Fabric Enclosures, Tented Structures and a wide range of individually designed items and products, all of which are made to meet the customer’s own requirements.
Due to an increase in demand for bespoke fabric engineering products, an opportunity is available for a Product Design Engineer. You will undertake the design aspects of such bespoke items, which are required for a multitude of reasons to provide solutions throughout all industries.
The position is suited to someone who is practical, ideally with an engineering background (experience in fabric engineering would be advantageous), has excellent drawing, 2D design capabilities, able to understand the customer's problem then design the solution in technically detailed drawings that can be understood clearly by Production Departments.
A full clean driving license is essential as site meetings and surveys will be required from time to time. A good level of IT skills and confident communication is required alongside the attitude to work as part of a team. The opportunity here is to become a key member of the team with real progression potential available.
