Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for Hard Services Manager to join our passionate and driven team based at our client`s site in 160 Tooley Street, London

To provide day to day management of the engineering teams and supply chain which delivers specialist services, ensuring the highest possible service is being delivered to the client whilst maintaining efficient use of the resources available.

You will be responsible for the operational delivery of hard services into Technical Services contract at OCS Southwark Council, (pure Hard Services). You will support existing operational teams with your expert knowledge of self delivery and management of subcontractors to deliver hard services.

You will be responsible for operating within a robust health and safety system and for developing appropriate controls and measures to ensure the correct authorisations and qualifications are used in approving and undertaking our services. You will also be responsible to provide a support to the operations of the contract, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Communicate, coach and support the engineering teams to deliver the services set out in our contract agreement
- Provide technical support to engineering teams and site supervisors ensuring high standards of workmanship
- To ensure contract and Health and Safety compliance across all Client buildings.
- To manage execution of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs and provide detailed performance reports
- Ensure services are carried out in accordance with the specification and company standards
- Ensure all sub-contractors are managed effectively using standard company documentation
- Ensure the Company`s reputation for quality and service is enhanced with the client and the customer by maintaining high quality standards in all services
- Continually assess the operation and performance of the services
- Responsible for the effective management of all site engineering personnel to ensure that the correct levels of suitably trained and experienced resources are on-site during contracted hours.
- Liaise and actively work with internal and external service delivery teams to ensure consistency of service delivery and compliance of KPI`s.
- Ensure that efficient processes and procedures are maintained to meet industry, client and corporate standards.
- To implement the delivery of Hard Services Self Delivery strategy for TS.
- To create a working environment of success and continuous improvement with Hard Services within Southwark through support, advice and assistance as necessary.
- To manage the quality and compliance of Hard Services delivery and ensure that all governance, systems, processes and (internal/external) procedures are complied with.
- To ensure that the quality of service delivery is undertaken efficiently, cost effectively and without disruption.
- Lead knowledge sharing processes to ensure best practice is spread throughout Technical Services and other divisions within demise.
- To be fully engaged in the implementation of new services and Identify risk and opportunities at an early stage
- To regularly engage with OCS Helpdesk, managing PPM-reactive activities, confirming targets are being met.
- To effectively manage and control Hard Services operational performance through regular reviews with the Operations Manager and your supervisors.
- To partake with escalation calls for OOH engineers.
- Ensure Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy standards are maintained and that the highest quality relating to business ethics are visible and openly promoted.
- To manage the Hard Services subcontractor relationships activity, cost effectively and proactively.
- To identify and drive new areas of Hard Services growth by maximising market opportunities through the existing client relationships and assisting with the development of new opportunities.
- To actively network and develop relationships around Hard Services with the external market in order to secure a source of potential new business and
