The Wasdale Head Inn is the birthplace of Brirish Climbing and Walking. Nestled among some of the most beautiful and dramatic mountians in the UK, The Wasdale Head Inn is an oasis for tired and weary walkers and climbers. We have an emphasis on good, home cooked food. Friendly staff and warm welcomes. We have 13 letting bedrooms, and six self catering apartments. We also have a small campsite. We are very busy in the summer months, and can do upwards of 300 meals in a day. We're very isolated here, with no mobile phone signal. It's a long drive from the nearest village, about 9 miles.

Job Description

You'll be in charge of a busy kitchen, serving up to 300 bar meals a day in the height of season. We also have a 30 seater restaurant.

You'll be required to train and bring on the existing staff, and make them into an efficient team.

This is not just a Head Chef job, it's an opportunity to build your own team, mould them and take the kitchen to the next level.

The emphasis is on home cooked food here, nothing is frozen and bought in - just good, honest food.

There is an opportunity to expand the restaurant and put your stamp on the food which is served in this very busy Inn.
