Job Description

Our East Midlands based client is one of the world's fastest growing, most forward thinking security and facilities management led businesses. They are currently looking to appoint a Head of HR and Compliance to be based in their Nottingham office. The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective HR service to the business, ensuring legal compliance at all times and achieving best practice as much as possible. The role has the core hours of Monday to Friday 0830 to 1730 and has the following key responsibilities.

1. Proactively motivate and manage the Human Resources team to achieve all Key Performance Indicators agreed.
2. To guide, coach and monitor team members in relation to employment legislation and escalation of employee relations issues.
3. Provide guidance and advice on all discipline and grievance issues in line with current legislation, legal case precedents and internal case precedents.
4. Provide guidance and advice on Employment Tribunals, including preparation and representation.
5. Advise on change management during restructuring, altering patterns of work, redundancies or when effecting other variations.
6. Ensure that TUPE transfers either in or out are managed in line with Company policy, liaising with other employers to transfer all necessary data.
7. To monitor all recruitment advertising ensuring that it is at zero cost. Obtain the Finance Director’s approval prior to any cost, when necessary.
8. Regularly review and revise the Company’s HR policies, procedures and protocols to ensure they are kept up to date.
9. Support management in achieving the Company’s business objectives and enhancing the business through its people.
10. Keep management abreast of employment law developments.

Salary up to £35k, 25 days holiday
