Job Description

Watford Community Housing has the perfect opportunity for you to start your career in housing as a Neighbourhood Apprentice. This role will be a 2 year fixed term contract which includes completing a qualification in Business. The main purpose of this role is to support the Neighbourhood & ASB officers, including gathering data and producing data reports.

Key responsibilities:

- Delivering housing management services to customers, responding to their needs and actively seeking feedback.
- Acting as a key point of liaison for community stakeholders, including elected representatives and other public officers and agencies, including, where relevant, being the first point of contact of Resident Associations/representative bodies and working closely with Community Engagement colleagues to coordinate and attend meetings.
- Signposting customers to key internal and external partner services for advice/support/advocacy.
- Assisting the lettings process from pre-tenancy void through to letting stage, in close liaison with Senior Housing Options Officer.
- Assisting with case management of low/medium level ASB and Fraud cases, including the undertaking of tenancy audits.

Who are we looking for?


- 5 A*-C/Grade 9-4 GCSEs
- Handle customer interactions professionally either face-to-face, by phone or online, communicating clearly and seeking support where appropriate.
- Confidently use Microsoft Office and other ICT systems to input and retrieve financial, performance and other data.
- Interested in Housing as a career.
- Professional and approachable, with an openness to learn.
- Integrity to deliver work within expectations.
