Job Description

To carry out holistic assessments in line with the Current Codes of Practice and the Awarding Body standards and guidelines

To manage a cohort of learners through their learning programme to meet successful expected outcomes and targets

To work in partnership with sites to create a positive learning environment for work based learning

To maintain and develop your own caseload by liaising with existing and new sites

To deliver an individual learning experience with all learners to maintain motivation and maximise assessment opportunities in line with the programme they are following

To carry out learner and employer reviews in line with the contract

To meet all Learners learning needs and liaise with the IV to adapt the programme to meet individual needs and methods of assessment as appropriate

To plan visits effectively with Learners to ensure a thorough understanding of their qualifications, progress towards their outcomes, what is expected of them and what will be covered at each visit

To set and review SMART targets and action plans with clear guidance and time bound deadlines

To promote equality of opportunity,safeguarding. learner welfare and Health and safety at all times

To encourage ongoing achievement and unit completion and ensure all completed units and sampling requests are passed onto your IV for verification

Ensure that all evidence meets the Funding and Awarding Body requirement for authenticity, reliability, consistency, sufficiency, validity, currency and realism


To attend meetings, training sessions and continuous improvement activities

To maintain current occupational competence records

To contribute towards the Quality Assurance Process

To Liaise with other Assessors and IVs to promote good practice and attend standardisation and occupational competence meetings

To ensure all documentation meets the quality assurance process

Contribute to the sharing of good practice and support continuous improvement throughout the Company

Participate in the Performance Appraisal and Training Scheme

Promote a positive image of the Company and all of the services it delivers
