Job Description

Fluid Creativity is continuing to expand their development team due to natural growth in the number of exciting projects we are working on. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Magento Developer to join us at our studios in Hyde, near Manchester.

Required Skills
• Experience working Magento – both integrating skins and developing custom extensions
• Experienced with Object Oriented PHP5 to create reusable, scalable and maintainable code
• Compose strict HTML/XHTML and CSS conforming to current standards and semantics with a good knowledge of accessibility techniques
• Experience with jQuery/Prototype JavaScript libraries to create reusable code
• Familiar with source control principles and comfortable with Subversion.
• Ability to work in a team environment where co-operation between developers is essential. However also able to work under your own initiative on individual projects.
• Good time management skills. You may be working on multiple projects at any one time.

Bonus Skills
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
• Any unit testing knowledge / experience (TDD) would be advantageous, but not essential
• Ideally, applicants should also be aware of and know how to cater for SEO issues which need to be considered as part of web development at Fluid Creativity.

Experience
• 2+ years working with the Magento platform
• Commercial experience working in a design agency environment
