Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our client's award winning care home in Basingstoke on a night-shift basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care and will have a thorough understanding of anatomy and medical procedures. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Monitor patients' progress and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical practice in all interactions.
Skills

Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Exceptional patient care skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficient in using medical equipment and technology relevant to nursing practice.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively while prioritising patient needs.
Punctuality, adaptability and reliability.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a care setting is preferred.
A driving licence and transport is essential, unless you live a commutable distance from RG25.
