Registered Nurse in Monmouth, Monmouthshire

Applying for the Registered Nurse role

PSP Healthcare Ltd PSP Healthcare was born in 2005 when brothers Preyen and Shrien decided to move from their highly paid City Jobs to join their father, Prakash and build a business and career in healthcare. They saw a gap in the market for a family operated business that valued and retained personal relationships yet integrated a corporate infrastructure that used technology, systems and processes to promote efficiency and quality. Today a remotely accessible group intranet site provides each PSP care centre & manager with real time access to resident, staff and building information. In addition PSP Healthcare has developed its own Care Planning and internal inspection methodology (that a CSCI Inspector even attempted to purchase) to ensure consistency in standards whilst promoting continual improvement. PSP's first acquisition was the turn around of a 32 bed home in Okehampton; Aalen House. The home has undergone a number of improvements under the leadership of Home Manager, Jan Hazell. Recently a number of rooms have been renovated to create hotel style suites with superb views across the town and surrounding country side. Aalen House has been praised for its care services by residents, relatives, local professionals and even CSCI inspectors. As a further testament to their efforts the home was recently awarded a special prize in the Allcora national competition for Care Excellence. In only four years the PSP healthcare has expanded significantly from a single home in Devon to operating seven care centers across England and Wales. Their exciting and ambitious growth plans haven't stopped there. The recently completed Hatherleigh Care Village project, the construction of a pioneering new Care Village in Monmouth and several developments currently in the planning phase are all steps along the way to realising the PSP vision of excellent and progressive care provision. The Monmouth Care Village offers 90 + nursing, residential and dementia care beds in a state of the art home. In addition, 36 Close Care apartments and houses provide independent living with access to all the facilities and high quality care available at the care home, using a concept currently in discussion with a local partner in India to provide quality respite and convalescence facilities in a purpose built "Ashram' just out side of Mumbai. In recognition of their fast paced growth and innovative approach to the provision of care for the elderly the Managing Director of PSP Group, Preyen Dewani, was recently awarded the National Care Entrepreneur Prize at a prestigious ceremony in London hosted by Esther Rantzen CBE. The Dewani family vision and company philosophy is encapsulated in PSP's slogan "People Supporting People'. Throughout the group each individual's capabilities are noted and developed in order to better assist others wherever needed. Be it in infection control procedures or formulating spreadsheets, the recognition of the network of People at PSP Healthcare is their ultimate strength.

Job Description

Registered Nurses (RGN / RMN / Dual) – New Purpose Built Care Village - Monmouth, S Wales

About us
PSP Healthcare is recognised as one of the UK’s fastest growing, innovative and exciting healthcare providers for the elderly. Its MD has been identified as one of the sector’s “Top Twenty to Watch” and the company has won numerous awards including the Welsh National Dementia Care Excellence Gold Award & Allcora Care Excellence Award.

The Group operates nursing homes and state of the art purpose built care villages across England and Wales. In fact the Gibraltar Care Village in Monmouth has been identified as one of the UK’s top three in the prestigious Pinders National Design Awards.

“People Supporting People”

This philosophy underpins the organisation. At the forefront, naturally, is the support that PSP provides for the elderly in its care. Each resident is viewed as an extension of the PSP family and as such afforded the respect, dedication and support that a close relative could expect.

However what sets PSP apart is that this philosophy of “people supporting people” has significance within the organisation as well. Whether its your “buddy” on your first day inducting you on the essentials (like the location of the secret chocolate biscuit stash!), the group clinical lead manager assisting you with clinical decisions, the admin team helping you arrange last minute child care when your child minder lets you down or even the maintenance team having a quick look at your car, we aim to encourage mutual support at all levels.

Significantly PSP Healthcare has recognised that whilst people in the care sector provide tremendous support for those in their care, there is very little, if any, specific support available for care workers when they need support themselves. The company is therefore extremely pleased to be a founding member of the National Care Benevolent Fund which provides for those in the care sector who may fall upon hard times

We are looking for dynamic driven staff to join our team, you will responsible for working alongside care staff to ensure the highest standards of clinical care is given to all service users. You will be responsible for ensuring care plans are up to date and suitable for the individual service users needs. You will also have to administer medication to the residents and ensure standards of the company are maintained and adhered to.
