Job Description

This role, we would expect to suit an experienced field sales consultant who has a proven track record of selling business systems and software, this may be in the ERP or Accounting packages but would be a capital purchase to businesses with a £30m to £50m turnover.

The successful candidate would be experienced in the multi-faceted complexities of system selling, be able to demonstrate the applications and be confident in and around the latest technology.

The candidate would be an individual with presence, who is able to communicate with individuals at all levels of a business be, this a forklift driver within the warehouse who needs to use the product every day or the MD of the business who needs to agree to pay for the system.

The candidate will be able to take an opportunity from the initial enquiry, qualify the opportunity, decipher and interpret the clients’ needs and present the Datalinx offering to meet the needs of the business making the purchasing requirements as easy as possible for the client.

The candidate will be very comfortable around the technology of Hand held barcode scanners, Wireless backbones, Windows PC applications and whilst they will not have the direct programming skills, the ability to “Drive” the technology and present highly complex systems will need to be demonstrated.

The role would be managed from our main offices based in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The person would be expected to be out on the road 4 days a week demonstrating and presenting our applications, with the 5th day being used to complete the admin side of the role.

The role is a pure New Business sales role with a remuneration package to match.
