Job Description

Interior fit out and Refurbishment Company are looking for an experienced Small works Manager to be part of the team and assist in the future growth of the company.

A long established interior fitting-out company is embarking upon an exciting new stage of its growth strategy and seeks a highly motivated and experienced Small works Manager responsible for small works projects with a value from £5,000 through to £100,000.

Subject to performance, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become one of the small core team of senior management responsible for driving this business forward. The existing owners plan to retire before 2020 and are therefore building a high-performing management team capable of becoming the business owners of the future.

The ideal applicant will have a proven track record in this industry and able to demonstrate an ability to deliver high quality projects on time and within budget. They would also be able to communicate on every level and be well presented.

The role encompasses every aspect of the process of a project including:-
a) Site surveys to assess requirements of the client
b) Drafting up schedules of work and proposals
c) Assist in the cost scheduling of the project
d) Project management and coordination with client etc.
e) Planning and placing orders with suppliers and sub contractors
f) Monitoring and controlling quality and delivery throughout the project
g) Handover and other documentation

It would also be useful if you had an understanding of Contract Law and all aspects of current HSE requirements although you will be supported by our Contracts Director for this part. You will be liaising with one of our designers and working closely with one of the senior board directors.
