Job Description

My client is a Global energy services company providing a wide range of Engineering, Production and Maintenance services to global Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries.

The Role

The Technician will focus on the inspection and repair of all Gas Turbine component parts. Included within your key responsibilities and accountabilities;

• Disassembly of all component parts ensuring that route cards are followed and all necessary details recorded in line with quality guidelines
• Carry out dimensional and visual inspection in accordance with internal documents
• Determine reparability of components
• Complete inspection sheets as and when required
• Request replacement parts using internal I.T systems
• Reassembly of all component parts ensuring that route cards are followed and all necessary details recorded in line with quality guidelines
• Using electrical and or hydraulic test equipment, test components as required
• Ensure that all components are handled and transported in a safe manner
• Ensure that work area adheres to site HSE requirements

The Person

Mechanical engineering experience essential, preferably from a Gas Turbine background or similar environment and qualified to NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering is desirable. You will also have demonstrated the ability to operate electrical and hydraulic testing equipment.

The successful candidate will be attentive to detail and desire to produce a quality product and possess strong communication skills alongside a proactive attitude and proven ability of working within a team environment. MS Office skills are desirable, however training will be given.
