About the Internal Sales Team :

Our field based Engineering Team is essential to the success of our business supporting the sales strategy as a critical member of the sales team operating across the MSC client base, creating leads and opportunities and delivering innovative, market leading products and services to support our customer value proposition (CVP).

Our client base has unique problems that need solving and our sales strategy requires our engineering team to build and leverage relationships with key decision makers to build trust and offer services and solutions which help them to fuel their potential.

You will speak with Machinists, Engineering managers, Production Managers and Workshop Managers, depending on the nature of the issue that they have

The focus and deliverables include:

- Generate, grow and protect customer relationships
- Achieve growth and profitability targets


Your part in the team:

We are looking to recruit an energetic, passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our Engineering Team as a Technical Sales Engineer, able to identify and close out high-net machine tool sales delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth

Based in the Leeds area, you will be responsible for a client base within a specified geographical area and required to be a primary interface for the customer optimising the full supply chain ensuring early engagement at key points of influence in the buying process.

Working closely with other members of the Sales Team to understand our customers and their needs - you will be their champion, translating their challenges and questions into solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, account retention and optimising sales by constructing sound commercial deals.

You will relish responsibility, take accountability, You will have a positive, can-do attitude and be someone who constantly strives to do better. Your innovative and curious nature will help us try new approaches, find creative solutions and constantly improve our customer`s experience.

What you`ll need to succeed

You will be a practical and hands-on individual able to consult with our customers and pass on your expert technical knowledge to solve any operational issues that they might be experiencing.

It is likely that you have spent time on the shop floor as a CNC Machinist with knowledge of various metals and able to articulate the steps that you follow during the machining process.

You will be a highly likeable, personable, positive, enthusiastic and technically competent individual that listens to customers and able to provide advice to support to our client base.
