Job Description

Our client is a well established local company and they are seeking a Transport Team Leader to join their team.

Job Responsibilities:
To assist the fleet services manager in providing a `one stop shop’ service to all LGV drivers and supervisors enabling them to run their vehicles cost efficiently with well trained drivers. Also ensuring the LGV fleet is legal and compliant

As a Transport Team Leader
•Day to day team leader in the Fleet Services Managers absence of 2-3 administrators consolidating initiatives
•Supervising the accurate recording of vehicle servicing and repairs
•Supervise the accurate maintenance of fleet database
•Be main contact for the 3rd party maintenance company and develop relationship
•Collate and report on the KPI’s
•Liaise with service suppliers providing order numbers and authentication where required
•Manage all new vehicles into fleet and vehicles of fleet liaising with suppliers
•Be responsible for the fleet reporting schedule
•Help supervisors with driver staffing levels and help co-ordinate temporary part time drivers
•Arrange all fleet related meetings, checking availability, booking rooms, agenda setting, minute taking etc.
•Co-ordinate the driver trainers personal training, resource, information and identify and arrange training required for other drivers
•General tasks and initiatives as they arise
Preferred Skills:
•Previous senior administration or co-ordination experience
•Positive and approachable with customers, colleagues and members of Public
•Advanced IT skills, including Ms Word, and Excel
•Ability to communicate effectively at every level
•Effective written and oral communications skills
Personal Attributes:
•Ability to perform effectively under time pressure.
•Demonstrates the ability to achieve beyond what is expected.
•Ability to work as part of a team
•Sets high standards of performance for self and encourages others to do the same.
