Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a number of Valve Technicians to work for our client in Aberdeen. This is on behalf of one of our national clients who are looking to expand the current team due to increase demand from end user clients. Candidates MUST have experience in overhaul and test of Safety Relief Valves!!. Ideally Candidates will be Apprentice trained or hold a relevant Mechanical/ Engineering qualification. There may also be an opportunity to work offshore on client sites therefore offshore certifications would also be advantageous.

Candidate Qualifications
The purpose of the role will be to carry out repair, refurbishment and overhaul works on a variety of valves. The work will cover all valve maintenance and repairs in both a Workshop environment and client site / Offshore. Daily duties will involve: • Dismantling valves • Inspection of valve components, • Re-working components • Valve Re-builds, • Testing and calibration of ancillary equipment were required. • Timely execution of all valve maintenance and testing activities in accordance with defined specifications, ensuring key focus on safety and quality throughout the task

Candidate Skills
Hands-on technician with extensive experience in overhaul and test of safety relief valves.
Knowledge of control and safety valves across the OIL&GAS, refining, energy and process industries.
Solid knowledge of valves testing tools & equipment, and utilization of test workbenches.
Knowledge of power and petrochemical systems and plant design desired but not essential.
