Workshop Engineer- plant technician


The post holder will be a member of the Workshop team and will report directly to the Workshop Supervisor, Earthmoving.

Your Profile:

The successful candidate will require the following:

• Have completed a recognized apprenticeship and relevant experience, preferably in a related industry/NVQ Level 4
• Good knowledge of electrics and mechanics
• Good health and safety awareness
• Ability to work to time deadlines

Your Responsibilities:

• Carry out PDI of new machines
• Fit factory approved extras and assist with design and fitting of local supplied extras
• Carry out campaign and modification work
• Carry out repairs in a timely and cost effective manner
• To participate in the repair, overhaul & diagnosis of plant as required.
• To participate with the day – day servicing of customer plant as required
• Promote health and safety and lead by example.
• Ensure good housekeeping of the workshop area.
• Develop your role to enable the workshop to progress
• To provide the quality workmanship required by a leading manufacturer.
• To promote the companies image whenever on company business.
• To complete the necessary paperwork needed to fulfil your role.
• To participate in training courses at home and abroad as required.
• To carry out any duties deemed necessary by the management.
• Carry out duties as laid out in the company quality assurance manual

Salary rate on offer will be £11.25 to £12 p/h plus excellent pension and added benefits as well.
